Tyler is the state and local government industry manager for the midwest at Microsoft, helping governments leverage technology for digital transformation. Previously, he was the director of Ppublic affairs and innovation at Serafin & Associates, served as the State of Illinois’ first chief of staff at the Department of Innovation and Technology, and, prior to this, served as a policy analyst for Illinois Senate Leader Christine Radogno.

During his time at Illinois State, Tyler was involved with the Student Government Association, Delta Chi fraternity, and the University Honors Program. Now, he stays active in Chicago attending young alumni network events and rooting for the Redbirds at as many football and basketball watch parties that he can attend.

He currently chairs the Alumni Association board of directors' scholarship committee and sits on the RED committee.
